The course provides information on the basics of first aid in a watersports environment, concentrating on the essentials of first aid with an emphasis on how to cope with possible first aid scenarios in yachts, dinghies and a watersports environment. By the end of the course the student should feel well acquainted with the ABC method that is taught and confident in applying this knowledge in a possible watersports first aid scenario.
This Course is a Pre Requisite for the
RYA Yachtmaster and
the Coastal Skipper
Qualification. This course covers the First Aid basics for people in vessels up
to 60 nM from the shore

This course involves student discussion and practical participation in
Rhesus and CPR on our rhesus dummy.
The course costs 85 pounds
Membership of DSWC entitles members to reduced course
fees as well as free usage of Centre craft (as appropriate to members skill and
