The National Powerboat Scheme

Welcome to the sport of powerboating. The RYA National Powerboat Scheme exists to meet the needs of those who use small open powerboats for sport, whether for their own sake or in connection with another activity such as sailing, sub aqua, diving, canoeing, water skiing or windsurfing.

The National Powerboat Scheme is applicable to sportsboats, RIBs, dories and launches and other boats which do not normally provide accommodation or cooking facilities. The scheme is as described below.
