A one day course for the Short Range Certificate (SRC) covers all the radio procedures.
This course is will allow you to safely and knowledgeably use a VHF radio
and be able to transmit a distress call in the event of an emergency. The course
will cumulate in an assessment your full RYA VHF GMDSSs Radio operator's
certificate. Prior to the course we recommend that you read these notes and
learn the Phonetic alphabet below:

DSWC is pleased to offer this one day course to water sports enthusiasts. The course lasts for one day. It begins at 9.30am and ends at roughly 5.30pm.
The course costs £85
Membership of DSWC entitles members to reduced course
fees as well as free usage of Centre craft (as appropriate to members skill and
prevailing weather conditions). Membership detail is available on the net and in
