The dock has an East, West aspect which takes advantage of the prevailing wind and provides good, safe sailing.
We have a selection of fleets of boats to suit all abilities.
For two or more: 8 Wayfarer dinghies, 4 Access 303 dinghies, 6 Omega Dinghies and 24 Bosun dinghies plus access to a selection of other varied craft including a Drascombe.
Single handed include: 12 - Toppers, 12 - Lasers, 6 Picos, 6 - 2.4 yachts and 6 Oppies.
We organise Royal Yachting Association (RYA) courses to learn to sail each weekend during the summer and in the late summer we arrange the more advanced courses. We can also arrange private tuition for those who would prefer.
We are open on Saturdays throughout the summer for Race Training and improvers, and run a summer racing series on mondays giving you the opportunity to develop you technique and pit your wits against other sailors.

During the summer months we organise a series of River Cruises on the Thames, exploring up-river past The Tower of London and through the bridges to Westminster or down-stream past Greenwich to the Thames Barrier stopping for lunch at a convenient riverside pub.
On Wednesday & Friday evenings throughout the Summer we organise ‘Twilight Sailing’. It originated in Western Australia and is primarily a social event with the aim of introducing people to sailing but most of all to have fun. We will race a simple course in Wayfarer and Bosun dinghies, which can hold up to 5 people. There are no rules, except you must not collide with other boats or the dock wall!
In Australia the race rules include the requirement to drink a 'tinny' at every mark ! We feel that this could prove excessive in the space of the dock but the tradition of 'tinny' drinking will be expected after the racing.
The first race about 6.30pm, last race at dusk The evening costs £20 per head (£15 for members) which includes a supply of 'tinnies', a place in a boat, an 'interesting’ buffet BBQ which you can visit as many times as you wish and occasional live music to keep the party atmosphere going.
