This course is the second part of the RYA training scheme and for those who have completed the RYA Level One Start Sailing course or have equivalent experience. Its aim is to consolidate your basic knowledge of sailing, and develop an awareness of safety. By the end of the course, you will be capable of sailing a dinghy without an instructor on board in light winds.

Assumed knowledge: Sailing skills to the standard of RYA Level One (Start Sailing) course.
Course content: Rigging, launching, sailing in all directions. Capsize recovery and essential safety knowledge. The course can take place in both singlehanded and doublehanded dinghies.
Ability after course: Able to sail and make decisions in good conditions.
