Monday Night Improvers

Looking to take your sailing to the next level? We are offering focused sessions to give you your next set of skills, whether you’re looking to refresh knowledge after a course or learn a new skill, we’ve got you covered. Each session will have a specific focus so you can pick the one that will work best for you.

All sessions are from 17:30 – 20:00

RYA Level 2 Refresher – 27th April, 10th August

Feel like you’ve forgotten everything from your RYA Level 2 course? or feel like you would like to re-cap and cover again the skills that you learnt? Then this is the session for you.

Doublehanded to Singlehanded – 11th May, 17th August

If you completed your RYA Level 1 course in the Doublehanded Bosun’s but are now interested in hiring out the Singlehanded Pico’s then this is the session for you. We will run through the differences between the two in both rigging and sailing. There are some key differences in manoeuvres due to the mainsheet position (aft, centre).

Intro to Racing – 1st June, 29th June, 27th July

We will begin to cover the racing rules, some basic strategy and the layout of the race course. If you are looking to get involved with the regular Friday evening racing (Twilight series), this will be a great place to start so that you can hit the race course confident and ready to go!

RYA Level 1 Refresher – 8th June, 20th July

Signed up to an RYA Level 2 course and looking for a skill refresher beforehand? This is the session for you.

Intro to Spinnaker sailing – 15th June, 13th July, 7th September

Ever used 3 sails at the same time? With this session we will run through rigging, understanding and using both symmetric and asymmetric spinnakers. Sailing the quests we will get you started on your spinnaker journey.

Singlehanded to Doublehanded – 6th July, 3rd August
