Located in the heart of London’s Docklands at the west end of Millwall outer dock, the Centre is based in an award-winning purpose-built facility with great views from the upstairs bar over the dock, and wet facilities downstairs.

We are a Recognised Training Centre and deliver courses in sailing, windsurfing, powerboating and paddlesports.

Our function rooms are available for private and corporate hire throughout the week and land-based events can also be tied in with our water-based activities, such as dragon boating, sailing or paddlesports to create a great day out for you.

Open Water Swimming
17:30 – 20:30

DSWC is proud to offer Open Water Swimming in the heart of Docklands. Millwall Outer Dock provides the perfect place for people who are already used to open water swimming but also good pool swimmers wanting to give open water a go. We are located 5-7 minutes walk from both Crossharbour and Mudchute DLR and just 12-15 minutes walk from Canary Wharf underground station. Travel between Bank DLR station and Millwall Dock in only 20 minutes!

All participants swimming at DSWC must wear their NOWCA Safety Wristband every time they swim. If you are not currently a member of NOWCA, you can register here. We strongly recommend the use of a specialised wetsuit. If the water temperature is below 14 degrees, it is mandatory for participants to use a wetsuit, which needs to be provided by the participant.

Participants must sign in at reception before proceeding down to the pontoons. As operators, we will know who and how many swimmers are in the water, at any time. This is important for managing your swim safety.

For you as a swimmer, wearing your NOWCA Safety Wristband will speed your entry into the water plus record your swim time and distance, just like wearing a chip at a triathlon.

Sessions cost £8.
